Executive Summary
German health minister Ulla Schmidt has honoured her commitment to reverse the joint federal committee's (G-BA) decision to remove reimbursement for most forms of enteral nutrition. On April 25 , she publicly attacked the G-BA's decision (see Clinica No 1154, p 3), then a matter of days later, on April 29, her ministry (BMGS) issued a statement which said: "The G-BA's enteral nutrition guideline will not come into force in its current form. My ministry's investigations have shown that the ruling must be revised."
