Executive Summary

Implants and urologic specialist Mentor (Santa Barbara, California) has elected Joseph Whitters as chairman of the board. Mr Whitters replaces Christopher Conway, founder and chairman of Mentor since 1969, who has retired. Vice-chairman Adel Michael has also left the company. Mr Whitters has served in a number of executive positions from 1988 through 2004. He is a certified public accountant and a director of Omnicell, and of Luminent Mortgage Capital. Mr Whitters was elected to Mentor's board of directors in September 2004.
