EC sets up new warning system for "suspicious" devices

Executive Summary

Device regulators at the European Commission and in member states are to have a new tool at their disposal to monitor the safety of devices where there are suspicions, but not conclusive proof, that they may be unsafe. That was one of the issues on the agenda at the competent authorities' meeting in Switzerland on January 27 and 28 (see Clinica No 1141, p 4).
