Genetronics Biomedical, a San Diego firm specialising in the use of electroporation in drug and nucleic acid delivery, has acquired Inovio, an Oslo, Norway-based firm. Inovio also uses electroporation, to deliver genes to skeletal muscles in vivo. The cash and stock deal is worth $10m upfront, plus potential revenue milestones.
