German industry reaching out further

In spite of the industry consolidation and the seeming resurgence in M&A activity, the German industry association, BVMed, says it is continuing to attract new members. Four more companies have joined so far this year: ENT and surgical products manufacturer Atmos MedizinTechnik (www.atmosmed.de); breast implant and obesity surgery company Inamed Aesthetics (www.inamed.com); polymer processing, catheter and measuring technology company Raumedic (www.raumedic.com); and minimally- invasive surgery and wound care company Resorba Clinicare (www.clinicare.de). Berlin-based BVMed says its membership has doubled in the 14 years since German reunification.
