China Medical grows healthily, sells notes

China Medical Technologies, the Nasdaq-listed Chinese ultrasound and IVD group, is planning to sell $100m-worth of convertible notes to institutional investors. It intends to repurchase $30m of its own shares and says the remaining proceeds could be used to acquire businesses, products or technologies that complement its existing activities.
