Aksys, the Lincolnshire, Illinois haemodialysis products firm, has announced changes to most of its board, effective June 23. The new directors are: Dr Douglass Given (partner and life sciences advisor/investor at merchant bank Bay City Capital); Timothy Mayleben (life science and healthcare company consultant, and director of NightHawk Radiology Holdings and Aastron Biosciences); Gretchen Piller (director of research for asset management firm Torrey Associates); and Leslie Lake (MD of private equity firm Invus Group).
