Dr Maximilian Zollner, of the German GPs association NAV-Virchow-Bund, has been elected inaugural chairman of the Allianz deutscher Arzteverbande, a newly-formed federation of doctors associations that will lobby for the interests of GPs. He heads a three-man committee, whose other members are Dr Klaus Bittmann (of federation of GPs' societies) and Dr Kuno Winn (Hartmannbund). The six founding members include the German internists' trade association (BDI); federation of GPs' societies; specialists' trade association (GFB); and Hartmannbund GPs association.
