Slow uptake of breast cancer screening in Brussels:

Executive Summary
In Brussels, 40% of women aged 50-69 years of age apply for breast cancer screening on their own initiative. A recently introduced breast screening programme, however, named Mammotest, encouraged just 9.5% of the remainder of the women in this age group to seek screening in 2005, compared with 8.8% in 2004. This means that some 50% of at-risk women in the Belgian capital are not being screened.
