Italy has issued a decree setting out the "tender base" prices of six types of medical devices. They constitute the first tranche in a comprehensive price-normalisation and cost-containment initiative affecting essentially all non-capital medtech and non-pharma consumables that account for the bulk of spending on these in each of the regions.
