Executive Summary
The text of the review of the Medical Devices Directive and the Active Implantable Medical Devices Directive was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on September 21and officially enters into force on October 12. Member states now have until December 21 2008 to adopt and publish the laws implementing the revision Directive, and until March 21 2010 to apply them.
