Executive Summary

Ophthalmic technology developer OptiMedica has granted Topcon Europe Medical exclusive rights to distribute its PASCAL (Pattern Scan Laser) photocoagulator product within key European markets. According to OptiMedica (Santa Clara, California), the PASCAL is designed to optimise the treatment of eye disease by applying a predetermined pattern array of up to 56 laser spots to the retina with 0.6 seconds. Rotterdam, The Netherlands-based Topcon Europe Medical, the European headquarters of Japanese multinational Topcon, distributes its products to several European countries, including France, Germany, Sweden and the UK.
