Executive Summary
In a move to maximise the international standing of UK accreditation, Paul Stennett, chief executive of the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), will also become the chief executive of Clinical Pathology Accreditation (CPA - Sheffield, UK), for a period of two years until 2009. Maintaining his role at UKAS, he will continue to be based in Feltham, Middlesex. Mr Stennett's remit is to co-ordinate a close working relationship between the two accreditation bodies, whose respective specialisations complement each other. Mr Stennett replaces Dr Ken Scott, who will leave CPA in September.
