The French ministry responsible for health has published a Decision laying out quality control requirements for CT scanners. The Decision was published in the Journal officiel on November 22 and must be implemented in hospitals by May 21 2008. It covers: the organisation of controls; managing non-conformities; materials necessary for carrying out controls; definitions; information that the user must keep on the scanner; external quality control reports; and internal and external control procedures.
