Dental device group Dentsply has agreed to acquire Sultan Healthcare, an Englewood, New Jersey-based manufacturer of dental consumables. With a 135-year history, Sultan is known worldwide primarily for its infection control products, dental materials and preventative care products. The acquisition is expected to add $45-50m each year to Dentsply's sales and be accretive to the company's earnings from 2008.
