Swissray International claims that its series of direct digital radiography (DR) systems will provide it with access to customers and new market segments that had previously found DR to be cost-prohibitive. The technology is specifically designed to meet the needs of certain markets such as orthopaedics, smaller hospitals, imaging centres, veterinary, chiropractic, and all emerging countries requiring a lower cost DR system with high image quality, said the Elizabeth, New Jersey firm. The series involves a low radiation dose and comes with Swissray's automated positioning system.
