Dutch electronics giant Philips has launched its HD7 ultrasound product in the US. The company said that the system draws upon an array of features from its systems and puts them into an affordable, mobile unit. Philips first introduced the HD7 at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR), held in Vienna, Austria last month, where it said that it was aimed at small and mid-range clinics in developed countries and the developing world. Philips launched its HD11 ultrasound system in February 2005, followed by the smaller HD3 in June that year.
