This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

Regional purchasing managers in Denmark are actively organising how to go about purchasing the first 35-50 scanners that the government has agreed should be ordered this year in the context of its cancer treatment plan, adopted in autumn 2007. A total of DKr 850m has been earmarked for the purchase of MRI , CT, Pet-CT and Spect-CT scanners. The first of the 35-50 scanners bought are expected to be MRI and CT scanners.
