Executive Summary

Privately-owned Israeli stent producer Allium Medical (Caesarea) has signed up Italian company NGC Medical to distribute its ureteral and biliary stents exclusively in Italy. The products were CE-marked in mid-2007, and distribution soon followed in Italy, Sweden, Germany and Austria. For Sweden, an exclusive distribution agreement was signed with SynMed Medicinteknik in February 2008 (see Clinica No 1294, p 18).
