Libya joins electrotech standards' International Electrotechnical Commission

Libya has joined the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), becoming its 69th member. The IEC prepares and publishes international standards for electrical, electronic and related technology and manages global conformity assessment schemes. "Africa is becoming an increasingly active region in electrotechnical standardisation," said IEC general secretary Ronnie Amit.
