Executive Summary

BioCeramic Therapeutics (BCT), a London, UK-based company specialising in tissue regeneration, has elected Stephan Rietiker as its new chairman. Dr Rietiker takes over from Sir Richard Sykes, who will retire from the board. The change comes as Imperial College spin-off BCT prepares for the commercialisation of its first product in 2010. Dr Rietiker has been a non-executive director on BCT's board since December 2008. He has held various marketing and senior management positions in both pharma (Roche, Boehringer Mannheim and Schering Plough) and medtech (Centerpulse and IMI Intelligent Medical Implants) companies.
