FDA raises device user fees

Executive Summary
The US FDA is raising the user fees for medical technology companies, an announcement in the August 3 edition of the Federal Register states. The standard fee has increased to $217,787 and will apply from October 1 2009 to September 30, 2010. The new fee represents a rise of 8.5% on last year’s fee of $200,725. The annual establishment registration fee has also been raised from $1,851 to $2,008.
