GE and TomTec work on cardiology workflow tech

Executive Summary

GE Healthcare and German medical imaging firm TomTec Imaging Systems are to work together on providing a streamlining technology for cardiology workflow. The collaboration will see Munich-based TomTec integrate its CardioArena programme for the analysis and visualisation of 2D, 3D and 4D data with GE’s cardiology IT platform. The combined product will also increase cardiology and echocardiography departments’ efficiency and shorten patient waiting time. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
