Custom Spine expands board and appoints CFO

Privately-held spinal implants developer Custom Spine has elected three new members to its board of directors: James Pastena, founder and CEO of neuromodulation company ElectroCare; Doug Daniels, president and CEO of hydrosurgery specialist Hydrocision; and Gualberto (Gil) Medina, who was the former Secretary of Commerce for New Jersey and a member of the Small Business Administration National Advisory Council. Mr Medina is currently executive managing director of Cushman & Wakefield, the world's largest property services firm. Custom Spine, based in Parsippany, New Jersey, also appointed David Hess as chief financial officer. Mr Hess has over 25 years' finance and accounting experience, specialising in infrastructure development and integration, enterprise turnaround and strategic planning.
