Executive Summary
Lumenis, a privately-held Israeli developer of laser, light-based and radiofrequency devices for surgical, aesthetic and ophthalmic applications, has raised $15m in equity financing. Some $5m of the funds came from new investor, Agate Medical Investments, and two existing shareholders LM Partners and Ofer Hi-Tech Group. Yokneam-based Lumenis said it will use the funds to expand its business – through “potential strategic investments and acquisitions” – and strengthen its balance sheet.
