Philips has launched its newest 3 Tesla MRI scanner onto the worldwide market at the annual conference of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), held in Chicago, Illinois last week. 3 Tesla devices have been available since around 2002, but the Dutch firm claims its Achieva 3.0T TX is the first artefact-free scanner.
