Executive Summary
North American Scientific (NAS) said revenues for its continuing operations increased 26% to $3.4m for the third quarter of fiscal 2008. The Chatsworth, California-based firm's business is now focused solely on brachytherapy product lines, following its divestment of the NOMOS radiation oncology business in September 2007 and its non-therapeutic product line this month (see Clinica No 1323, p 19). NAS said net loss for the quarter swelled to $4.1m, due to increased sales and marketing, R&D and general administrative expenses.
