Haemonetics announces new CEO for 2009

Executive Summary

Haemonetics (Braintree, Massachusetts), a supplier of products related to various aspects of blood management, has announced that Brian Concannon will be promoted to CEO and will join the board of directors, effective from April 2009. Mr Concannon, who is currently president of the firm’s patient division, will succeed Brad Nutter in the role. Mr Nutter, who joined the firm in February 2008 as chairman and CEO (see Clinica 1293, p 23), will remain as executive chairman of the board. Mr Concannon has served the medical products industry for 18 years in increasingly senior roles, at organisations including: American Hospital Supply Corporation, Baxter Healthcare and Cardinal Health Products and Services.
