Beer & Partners, said to be the largest business angel and private equity network in the UK, is seeking £1.3m ($2.3m) from investors to finance five companies in its second HealthTech portfolio. The unnamed firms, all based in the UK, have products that are close to market, according to B&P. Investors can choose to take a stake in any company, although there is a minimum investment per person per company of £10,000. Among the technologies being developed by the companies are a device for rapid diagnosis of blood infection; products for improving fertility in women; and a compact adrenaline auto-injector for self treatment of allergic reactions.
