Brazil appoints DG as part of ongoing strategy review

Brazil's leading medtech importers association (Associação Brasileira de Importadores Equipamentos, Produtos e Suprimentos Médico-Hospitalares, Abimed) has appointed Alexandre Rodrigues de Paula as director-general. In addition to overseeing all administrative and operational activities, Mr Rodrigues will be responsible for the association's rapport with its member companies and with authorities and associations in the sector, both nationally and abroad. The move is said to be part of an ongoing strategy review at Abimed.
