Executive Summary

ATS Medical (Minneapolis, Minnesota), a maker of implantable cardiac devices such as the “open pivot heart valve”, has appointed Craig Swandal as vice-president of operations – a newly-created position - effective on August 11 2008. Mr Swandal joins from Gyrus ACMI (minimally-invasive surgical instruments), where he was vice-president of corporate operations. The company has opened the position with the aim of expanding the volume and diversity of its product offerings.
