Longtime CDRH staffer Cap Uldriks retired in April as associate director for clinical research and government affairs in the Office of the Center Director. Uldriks began his career at FDA in 1978 as an investigator, a position he held for nine years before making the move to CDRH. Uldriks was reassigned in 2007 to the center director's office, where he worked on legislation and guidance issues. FDA has not signaled whether Uldriks will be replaced
