A bill that would require education and certification of professionals who perform medical imaging and radiation therapy was introduced Aug. 5 in the Senate. The CARE Act (S. 3737), which is supported by the industry-based Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance, "will not only improve health care quality and save lives, it will also reduce costs and make radiological care more affordable and accessible," said Senate sponsor Mike Enzi, R-Wyo.
