Firm announces worldwide launch of its NeoMode software upgrade to its Puritan Bennett 840 ventilator system Aug. 18. The upgrade, designed to help clinicians better manage neonatal patients, allows users to increase set Fi02 levels by 20% for up to two minutes to help manage adequate oxygenation. It features non-invasive, neonatal continuous positive airway pressure to reduce nuisance alarms, and allows clinicians to adjust the ventilator's ideal body weight setting as neonates grow without disconnecting or power-cycling the device
