Privately-held vascular access company launches 510(k)-cleared Zeus coated peripheral catheter June 30; the product features a novel surface coating that mimics the cell layer found on natural tissue surfaces, according to the firm. Lab tests confirm that the catheter's biomimetic surface could dramatically reduce thrombus formation on catheter surfaces, r4 Vascular says. The firm's other products include the uncoated Pegasus peripheral catheter and DrainEx drainage catheter
