Medtronic courts Deltec insulin pump customers

Medtronic Cares program launched April 3 aims to entice users of Smiths Medical's discontinued Deltec Cozmo to adopt Medtronic's Paradigm. Medtronic will offer in-warranty Deltec customers a recertified Paradigm 522 or 722 insulin pump, as well as 30 days of supplies and a two-year warranty, for a reduced price of $1,300. Under the program, customers can trade in their in-warranty Deltec pumps for a $500 credit, and have the option to receive another $800 in credits by answering four customer surveys.
