HHS Office of the Inspector General is requesting comments on whether a safe harbor under the federal anti-kickback statute for hospitals and insurance plans providing free equipment for writing electronic drug prescriptions should extend to e-prescription technologies used for medical tests and supplies, an Oct. 11 1proposed rule notes.
