CardioTech aims Gish products at EU

CardioTech will seek a CE mark to sell subsidiary Gish Biomedical's GBS (Gish Biocompatible Surface) coated surgical tools in Europe, after receiving FDA approval for two new products Sept. 7. GBS is a blood compatible heparin-based coating for instruments used in heart and lung surgeries. "A larger percent of customers in the European Union demand coated products versus the U.S. market.
