Executive Summary

Provision in Senate version requiring a 20% co-pay on diagnostics for Medicare patients would "put a lot of pressure on laboratories," Dade Behring's Louise Pearson, VP and general counsel, maintained July 22 at AACC's annual meeting in Philadelphia. "The 20% co-pay would average about $2.30, and the actual cost of billing that out is around $15," she noted.
