Executive Summary
Israeli firm plans to submit by early 2002 a 510(k) for peripheral arterial tone (PAT) technology for sleep apnea and endothelial function. Trials for both indications are under way in the U.S., Europe and Israel. Technology is used to monitor peripheral vascular responses to autonomic nervous system activity. Separately, approval of firm's ETT_PAT 2000 for use in cardiac stress testing for the detection of myocardial ischemia is announced April 4. Future potential indications include early diagnosis of hypertension, evaluation of cardiovascular status in diabetics
