Evaluation of the 4 Fr. Attain SD Model 4189 left ventricular pacing lead in the Multicenter InSync Randomized Clinical Evaluation in ICD patients (MIRACLE ICD) trial has begun with the implantation of the lead in a 70-year old male at Emory Health Care/Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta. Billed as the "world's smallest diameter" LV lead, the Attain SD uses electrical conduction and steroid elution technologies to "more easily and quickly position the lead into the lower left chamber of the heart," Medtronic says
