Dental and mammographic x-ray performance standards

Executive Summary

Panoramic dental x-ray units would be exempted from the requirement that they be manufactured with an exposure timer that automatically resets to zero upon premature termination of an exposure, according to a proposed rule published by FDA in the Oct. 29 Federal Register. The agency also proposes five changes to align the performance standard with the equipment requirements of the Mammography Quality Standards Act. Comments are due Jan. 27, 1999
