Executive Summary
Agriculture appropriations bill (HR 4101) passes the House by a 373-48 vote June 24, with an amendment by Rep. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) to prevent FDA from testing, developing or approving abortifacients. Another amendment by Rep. Bernard Sanders (I-Vt.) would offset a $10 mil. increase in senior nutrition programs with a cut in FDA salaries and expenses.
