Nitinol Medical Technologies' $33 mil. acquisition of Elekta Neurosurgical Instruments (ENI) from Elekta AB would expand Nitinol's existing minimally invasive surgery product focus to include neurosurgery, quintuple sales, and "springboard" the firm "to a whole new level," according to CEO Thomas Tully.
