ORGANON-TEKNIKA BEGINS SHIPPING VIRONOSTIKA HTLV-I/II BLOOD SCREENING TEST the week of Feb. 9 following the recent approval of a biological license application by FDA. The approval ensures competition for Abbott, the only other company with a licensed HTLV-I/II test, when an FDA policy requiring blood bank testing for both types of human T lymphotrophic virus takes effect Feb. 16.
