Medtronic: Begins clinical trails of Jewel AF arrhythmia management device (Model 7250) for treatment of atrial fibrillation. Ongoing trials of the device for treatment of potentially lethal ventricular arrhythmias and episodes of AF have enrolled over 150 patients to date ("The Gray Sheet" Aug. 4, I&W-4).
