Arrhythmia Research Technology: Appoints Sid Barbanel president of the Austin, Texas cardiovascular and electrophysiology equipment firm. Barbanel formerly served in management positions with Intermedics, Cook Pacemakers, and Cardio-Pace; he also served as president and CEO of ART from 1986 to 1988. Barbanel will replace E.P. Marinos, who resigned as ART's president and CEO effective June 1 to become president and CEO of Midcoast Interstate Pipeline Co.
