General Surgical Innovations/USSC: Firms terminate early a distribution agreement that had given U.S. Surgical exclusive rights in the U.S. and certain international markets to sell GSI's Spacemaker I and II balloon dissection systems, GSI announces Nov. 15. The deal was set to expire in March 1997. Early termination of the deal allows GSI to seek expansion of a July agreement with Johnson & Johnson's Ethicon subsidiary for distribution of GSI products in the hernia and incontinence markets.
