BAXTER HOMECHOICE DIALYSIS SYSTEM SAFETY ALERT 40% COMPLETE as of Jan. 19, the company says. Baxter estimates that about 60% of the 1,074 physicians to whom it sent the alert have not yet acknowledged receipt of the document. The alert cautions physicians that disposable supplies used with the automated peritoneal dialysis device are labeled "For Single Use Only" and should not be reused due to the risk of peritonitis.
