Sanofi: Introduces two new enzyme immunoassay (EIA) kits for Anti-Neutrophil Cytoplasmic Antibody (ANCA) testing. The firm says its Kallestad Anti PR3 (c-ANCA) and Anti MPO (p-ANCA) tests "detect antibodies to proteinase-3 and myeloperoxidase, respectively, in human serum" and "provide an aid to the diagnosis" of Wegeners Granulomatosis and other vasculitic syndromes. The EIA format of its kits "are more specific to the autoantibodies involved" than immunofluorescent assay (IFA) tests, which "show only a fluorescent pattern"...
